Mike T. Jorgensen:
Mike is a native of Cincinnati and currently resides in St. Louis. He spent most of his twenties working in ministry and going to school Mike has served on staff at two Presbyterian churches and most recently an Anglican church. For several years, he attended the University of Cincinnati and studied philosophy before transferring to Cincinnati Christian University and obtaining a BS in Biblical Studies. He also holds an MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary and now works as a pastor in Cincinnati.
It goes without saying that Mike enjoys reading and spends a lot of time doing it. He is also a home-roasting coffee enthusiast, a lover of music and film, and a moderate sports fan. Theology is how he spends the bulk of his time, but he also enjoys fiction especially classics, fantasy, science fiction, and children’s fiction. He’s also been known to dabble in comics and graphic novels. Some of his favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Douglas Adams, P.G. Wodehouse, Mark Twain, and C.S. Lewis. He has far too many favorite theologians to list, but among them are, John Calvin, Herman Bavinck, Cornelius Van Til, Francis A. Schaeffer, Lesslie Newbigin, Gerald Bray, Tim Keller, and Stanley Hauerwas.
Scott grew up in Southern California but moved to Texas later in life. After graduating high school he moved to Seattle, WA where he served as an intern at Mars Hill Church, and then later attended New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho where he studied Liberal Arts and cooked BBQ. Once he and his wife were married in the summer of 2014, they decided to move back to Texas to complete their schooling and work in the family business. Scott currently attends Criswell College in Dallas where he is finishing his degree in Biblical Studies. He plans to attend seminary after graduation to pursue teaching, writing, and pastoral ministry. Scott’s been an avid reader since childhood and will read nearly anything, but his main interests lie in reading theology, fiction, philosophy, and history. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkein, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, and the list goes on. Favorite theologians include Sinclair Ferguson, John Calvin, Francis Turretin, Greg Bahnsen, Peter Liethart, J.I. Packer, John Piper, St. Augustine, and list goes on and grows yearly.
